When I first found out that Ashley was using cocaine I was didn’t know what to do. Her attitude towards me and the boys was different and I couldn’t understand why until I got a call one afternoon that she had been pulled over for speeding and they had found an ounce of cocaine in my son’s diaper bag. Suddenly all the strange behavior made since and I was determined to get my wife back on the right track. After many hours at the police station trying to get them to release her and the boys to me my mother finally called and said she had been speaking to a woman from a Drug Rehab Facility. I was shocked to think this was happening to our family, how did this happen? What went wrong, how did my wife end up using cocaine?
The next few months were almost unbearable the boy’s continuously cried wanting their mother and the pain I felt in my heart was just about too much to handle. There were lawyer visits and court dates and the chaos that went with it all. The only real salvation I had to rely on was knowing Ashley was in a safe place, getting real help. The Drug Rehab Center my mother found was wonderful. It provided Ashley a warm comfortable place to handle her addiction. The method of treatment was that they first of all helped her handle the physical cravings and from there offered her the tools she needed to come to grips with all the depression and guilt she felt with life skills that were so desperately needed.
The boy’s and I visited her usually once a week and after about a month I started to see a glimpse of the women I married. Then one day about 3 months into her program she called me and asked if I would come visit her alone. I drove down the next day and we talked for along time and she told me how it all got started and how she was so very sorry for letting this happen to our family. She said she was thankful that we had sent her there to get her life straight. At that moment I knew the worst was over and that my Ashley was herself again.
It is now two years later and the memories of that time just seem like a bad dream. I don’t know what would have happened if the people at Texas Drug Rehab had not been there to help save us from the horrible fate we could have encountered. I thank God everyday that there are caring people in the world such as those who work for Drug Rehab Locator.
